Inserting values for personal effects

On the "goods accompanying" and "goods to follow" lists, how do I assign value for each item?
1. If it is an old item. Do I put the value I purchased it for, if I remember, or the current value for the same new product or the value of the 'used product' if I were to sell it now?
2. If it is a new item. For eg., I purchased a laptop with listed price of 1200 CAD. It was, however, on sale and I had coupons, so I paid only 700 CAD. So what would I list in this case?
Does the price accuracy even matter, will they double check anything?

3. What about anything ON me, like rings, shoes, shades etc. Should they be listed?

1. Current value, just estimate it yourself. It is not a big deal.
2. Current value for everything, again it is not a big deal.
3. Most things can be grouped into broad categories like clothes, furniture etc. Jewellery must be photographed, evaluated and included as a single category.
