If you are not originally from English speaking country, you need it.

There have been cases where people were working for 15 years in US/ UK, Did their Bachelors and masters from English speaking country and were asked to Give IELTS results

If you do not give IELTS you are leaving lot in hands of IO/VO and he may still ask for IELTS if English is not your first language
