Hi guys,

I plan on sponsoring my parents i have gone thru the docs list my concern is can i sponsor jst my mother n father or lets say my brother as well whos dependent on my father mmy bro is however 24 yrs n i plan on sponsoring my fiance as well but im not sure if i sponsor my parents in jan 2017 can i still sponsor him later?

Your brother is too old to be included as a dependent in the application. You can only sponsor your mother and father.

You can sponsor your fiance at any time once you are either married or common law.

thanks , so having 2 sponsorship applications in the same year wont effect anything ? also i had concern regarding my father being a diplomat not in Canada though he was in Canada 5 yrs ago as a diplomat and now he in another country for his job as he works for foreign affairs in Pakistan can i still sponsor him?

No having 2 apps in process won't affect anything. If you get married or are common-law with your fiancee, then you would also need to increase your family size by 1 for your parents app. i.e. you + spouse + 2 parents = family size of 4 for parents LICO calculation for last 3 years.

It really doesn't matter what your fathers job is, as long as he passes medical and police checks that's all that matters.

Doesn't he has to include his brother in the application as he is dependent on his parents.. All the dependents should be included. I understand he is over the age limit, but still a person can be dependent regardless of age...Please correct if I am wrong...

He is only a dependent if he has a documented mental/physical disability which requires him to be dependent on his parents.

Other than that, if he's aged 19 or older he's not a dependent regardless of anything else.

Ya, that what I meant by dependent..... In case of mental/physical disability, there are chances that even the parents application be refused because of medical inadmissibility of the dependent.

Yes - it's possible the entire application may be refused. Everyone included in the application must pass the medical in order for the application to be approved.
