Dear Respected Members,
I hope this message finds you well.
I have been a Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) since 2020. However, due to the nature of my job, I am frequently required to be outside Canada, which has impacted my ability to meet the physical presence requirements for citizenship. Despite this, I have successfully renewed my PR card each time.
While calculating my physical presence, I noted that I have spent a significant amount of time in Canada during 2020 and 2023. According to the calculator, I will likely be eligible to apply for citizenship by March 2025, provided I continue residing in Canada until then.
My question is: after submitting my citizenship application, would it be possible for me to leave Canada temporarily to continue my job? I want to emphasize that I have strong ties to Canada, as my family resides here permanently.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance on this matter.
Thank you for your time and support.
