no updates for mine yet via email or ecas, and GCKey seems to be down right now? I hope it’s down because lots of people are all getting simultaneous good news and the servers have overloaded![]()

When you think about it, I received the AIP letter today but the letter is dated April 26... maybe there was a massive release of communication today and everybody is loggin in now to see the update..At least it’s not just me! Maybe they’re trying to get everyone updates before the long weekend starts! I hope there’s one waiting for me when it comes back up. As of yesterday my BGC hadn’t started yet.
But the SA letter says the same date as date received. So I think you passed eligibility but they don't officially give AIP to you until you're done the BGC which for us happened after they started reviewing eligibility rather than before review of eligibility for applicants from other months. What that probably also means is that once our status does change to "We are processing your background check" then we probably passed eligibilityWhen you think about it, I received the AIP letter today but the letter is dated April 26... maybe there was a massive release of communication today and everybody is loggin in now to see the update..
I hope you get some movement on your application soon too! The wait game is long and painful. The good news is that it seems apps are being moved from the MTL office! Where about are you located? I’m in oakville and therefore my app is in Hamilton.
Most applications are now moving to local offices, seems that mine moved to Hamilton office recently. I think it just put all of us behind compared to other applicants who didn’t have their files in Montreal. Hopefully we all get our PR soon. Please join me in emailing Ahmed.Hussen@parl.gc.ca about this issue. With enough people, we can make him notice this very unfair issue with the Montreal backlog.
I don’t think it has any impact, the agents you speak with don’t touch your application but they do have visibility to let you know where it’s at. That’s only if you are lucky enough to get an agent ok the phone who cares and is nice enough to help out.Do you think calling or emailing has any positive impact?
There is no logic with the timelines. Some June applicants still waiting and some January 2019 already landed, go figure.December inland applicants are already getting landing appointments
