Hubby called today regarding his appointment and is booked for March 2, 2010. He was informed this was for his PR landing and will recieve all his documentation.

We have been very blessed, it only took 7 months and pray that everyone has the same good luck and speedy processing of their applications.

We had our file transferred to Saskatoon at the beginning of February.

Oh ok, I'm hoping that when I get to that point, I won't have my app sitting at a busy center. I have a feeling mine is going to go to Hamilton, and I think that is one of the better ones.

Congrats Lylyth! lucky u! i heard some couple i know made it in 7 months too.

Blue Dragon, how would u know which local office they might transfer the papers? is it the town u live in and around it?

Yea, I'm in the Niagara Region, and Hamilton seems to be the closest office. I think the papers go to where the local office is in your area. Besides, someone who went through this in my town also had their papers go to Hamilton. I'm not completely sure, but that's how it might work.

HI, not yet, still waiting for my Landing Interview, Im pretty sure will be in mid March, is so exciting, regarding to RPRF, I have to pay it at my Landing date, but those last days feels like an eternity! Good Luck to every INLANDER! ;D

Well...finally got all the forms filled out, (did some translating myself) attached personal information (emails,photos, bills) confirming validity of marriage......included work permit application.....medical on tuesday, receipt from the bank on tuesday......mail on tuesday..and them.......................................WE WAIT

hahahaha...boy i hate giving these government %^$#&^%^&*%$ 's access to my personal information.

i know i forgot something..?????

Check the document checklist carefully, and include everything they ask for. Also, you need to include the checklist itself in your application.

I know you probably all think I am soooo insane, but WOW, it's about time that came through, and I was so nervous cuz I threw out the tracking number by accident, but now I feel great!!

Today we went for hubby's interview....

He got his PR paperwork completed and will receive his PR card in 6 - 8 weeks. The interview was over in about 15 minutes. They basically wanted to make sure the information on his passport matched their paperwork.

Its a great feeling that the wait is over...no more nail-biting.

Why does this take so long?!?

I submitted my PR application in June 2008, and had a medical exam then which I sent with the application. (This is a spousal sponsorship, and I'm from the USA). My husband's sponsorship was approved in Jan 2009

I'm applying from inside Canada. My 21 yr old son is staying in the US, but he has to fill out all the forms anyway. This seems to have held up the application, and I'm still waiting for the final approval

I just got a letter today (March 2010), saying CIC wants me to do another medical exam, and update my info from June 2008.

My question is: after I do the second exam, how long will it take for a final decision to be made?

And why has it take 20 months to get this far? They have all the paperwork. I don't have any complicated issues - the CIC website says the processing time is 6-8 months. Am I doing something wrong?

Congrats Blue dragon...we are just starting the process....medical this morning and application in the mail this afternoon..i guess now we wait.and wait

it's a shame as my wife has several job offers but she is scared shitless to work off the clock as there is always someone willing to drop a dime and make the call......
