Hi all!
So I'll just right into my questions.
Here's my situation.
US Citizen here in Canada on a student visa for 4 years is applying for PR and sponsor for common law marriage via outland.
My questions are this..
1. Will it matter that my address has been our address together since day1 of me living in Canada? I.e. I moved here already in the relationship.

2. Why am I aloud to leave Canada during an outland application, but, even with my Student visa good till 2019, shouldn't leave if we were doing an inland application? (we're planning a family trip to the states and I want to know why it's safe for me to leave.

3. Why am I aloud to apply via Outland? and why doesn't it say anything in regards to being aloud to apply outland on the CIC website?

4. What document, cause we just started filling them out and are applying in December, is where we declare inland vs outland.. I haven't come across it yet.

5. Stat Deca just means notarized, correct?

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer! It puts my mind at ease. This is very stressful situation while juggling going to school and working!

Hi

1. No, it doesn't matter that your address is in Canada.

2. The issue isn't leaving Canada; the issue is if you are refused entry back into Canada. While being refused re-entry has no effect on an outland app, an inland app would be considered abandoned.

3. The inland guide actually states that a person in Canada may apply outland to take advantage of the faster processing times.

4. There are separate application packages for inland and outland. You need to fill out the outland package.

5. Correct.

Thanks for the reply!
I've been looking for the different applications, inland vs outland, and I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have a link to the outland application forms?
