Hello Friends, I had sent my complete package with the spouse sponsorship and open work permit . I just received my spouse sponsorship application number. Do they send open work permit application separately?

Appl. Sent - Dec 19th
Appl. Received - Dec 20th
Spouse PR AOR (e-mail) - Feb 20 Th
Open work permit application number - still not received

No, they don't! You will have to link it in your account and that's all!

You have to try in many different ways... I took me a while as well

When I called IRCC earlier this week, they said they they still hadn't created my OWP file, is this a normal wait time? And same for Medical request, still haven't received. Hopefully soon!

I've been told the MR doesn't have to be the next step after AOR/ linking. Apparently MR can be at any point in the process. As long as you're linked, they'll ask for what they need.

Really? Wow! I feel with the volume of December applicants it might take us a bit longer

Thanks NHLNFL, I’ve tried multiple times and different ways with no luck to link OWP. I’m thinking they are still creating a file for it as it’s not showing! So will just have to be patient!

Yes very possible! Good luck with it. I linked both of mine using the same information. Did you send it all in one package?

Yes I Sent it all as one package, my PR app linked easily. And have used the same info for OWP. Shall just wait and see

So apparently not everyone will need to complete a medical exam. We just checked our application status and it automatically just said: "you passed the medical exam".

I think it's normal to not be able to like your OWP on the same day you receive your AOR. I was only able to link my OWP two days after, so maybe try tomorrow or the day after.
