I need help understanding the process for submitting a Police Clearance Certificate as a Nigerian living abroad. I understand that I need to apply for it from the CID office in Lagos, which i have done. However I'm wondering if I need to get the PCC certified by the Nigerian consulate in the Canada where I currently live in. Does anyone have experience with this? Did anyone get PCC from Lagos and still had it certified by the consulate in Canada? thanks for your answers!

Trying to not get too worried but it seems a little weird that we still haven't received an AOR. Bruce (congratulations) just got his and it was received on the 10th. Does anyone know why we wouldn't have yet? Is there anyone in early December that still hasn't got an AOR?

Received Dec 4th
Linked Feb 2
AOR ???
Thank you. I wouldn't worry , I would wait for another week

I think there is some confusion around the AOR and linking. The AOR is an acknowledgement email sent out after CIC has received your application AND entered it into their system.

That being said if you are able to link your application, and haven't received you AOR , I wouldn't worry as it is a system generated email that gets sent on a schedule. For example : Every 2 days send our AOR's for these batch of applications. Just my 2 cents

So how do some people link an application without AOR? I can see if you attempt to link successfully before you get the email sent out but someone links and doesn't get AOR for a week? Maybe they gave the wrong email

Yes we are in the same situation.
Received Dec 3
Linked PR Jan 30
Linked OWP Feb 4
And still no AOR... I think maybe something went wrong when they sent it. I like to think that now that everything is linked it cannot be send back, but the truth is I dont know.
Hope it comes in soon for us! Anything yet? Good that you were able to link your work permit too. I will try and do that again tonight. I'm beginning to worry that we gave the wrong email or something.

Hello,

Update:

Got medical request today. I am a Dec 7 applicant. Got AOR this week.

Successfully linked application but failed to link OWP. Both are paper based application.

Please keep posting your dates (Dec 2018 applicants), it helps a lot.

About 4 months after application was received (October applicants are receiving it at the moment).
4 months after receiving the package or 4 months from AOR?
