You mean you got AOR and then linked after because you got the news?

No. I linked my application first and right after got an email. It was not AOR.
That was kind of confirm email. It said "Your applicaiont is now linked to this account."
Then about 10mins after I got AOR.

Did everyone add police clearance certificate with your application or waiting for CIC to ask? I did not add it to my application, do you think that would slow me down?

I added a copy of mine but it's easy for them to request it . Do you have a copy ready?

AOR received : February 1st
Hopefully everyone will be successful with their applications. Stressful waiting starts as of today ...

Isnt it less stressful because they didn't return it? As long as the info is correct, you can provide whatever documents they request. I think waiting for AOR is more stressful because you aren't sure if they denied it until you get a letter/return mail

Did your checklist REQUIRE it in the package? For some countries you dont need it right away.

So.. I will just explain how to link your applicaion.

1. Sign in CIC useing GCKey
2. You can see Add (link) your application to your account, click it
or https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account/link-paper-online.html
then sign in

Next, you can see questions
provide the following information(PA)
1. Category - permanent residence
2. Sub category - Family class (Spuse or common-law)
3. Add detail - choose family, given name/ or UCI, family name
4. Personal information - I put my passport number
5. Province, city, current marrital status
6. Number of family number - if you applied just yours(no additional dependant) with sponsor then put "2"

I also linked my OWP the same way
Just choose Category - temporary residence and Sub category - workpermit

Hi, our application got delivered to CPC on DEC 31, 2018. Called up Call centre yesterday and the lady found my application with temporary no. started with XF allotted. what does that mean. I m nervous if our application returns back after waiting a lot. my wife is on visitor visa here- will she have to return if application is returned.

At this point for Inland applicants who applied on Dec 5/2018 and Dec 6/2018 are able to link their application............ so if you applied after that we all need to wait ....................

I am not so certain but my lawyer added my fingerprint paper and my application explaining that i am requesting for it.

I applied on Dec 17/2018 and i am still waiting for AOR... Temp file number means your file was reviewed and you cleared the initial review (That means all the documents are arranged properly according to the checklist some people may not clear this initial review in that case they just return the whole package ) and now you are in their system that's why you got Temp file number which starts with 'X' it doesn't mean that it can't be returned. Now the file is second stage of review once the officer reviews your file and if they require additional information they might sent to an email asking for additional information or in some case they might just send the whole application back depends upon the officer who reviews the information. At this point people who applied on Dec 5/2018 and Dec 6/2018 are getting their AOR so you might get the AOR by end of this month.

Most likely AOR will be second week Feb, based on other threads

If you can see any thread that shows people who applied on Dec 10/2018 and Dec 12/2018 are able to link the application you should be able to link the application too.... once you link the application you will get AOR on the same day... but for some people you have to wait until you get the AOR email... if you are able to see your application status in ecas - https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do.. probably you might be able to link the application... i heard many people are not able to see any status online

Just gave my name and wife’s name and they verify me by asking security questions and they won’t my application

Do i write there sponsor's information or principal application info? Thanks for detailed explanation.
