You are probably pushing your limits when it comes to short trips being overlooked. You could get lucky and nothing may happen but IRCC seems to be actually examining applications these days much more carefully then they were previously doing. Would personally limit trip to 2-3 weeks but it is up to your family to determine the level of risk you are willing to take.

As long as you have a valid TRV or eTA, you should have no issues re-entering.
