Hi,
I have a ques as i applied my pr on my husband through spousal sponsership. And i was out of status we got married. We applied for my pr last yr in april 2018. I got AOR on 20 may 2018. After that in october i got medical request. In december 2018 i got Police clearance request to be submitted. Everything is going gud. But yet i have not got any updates for spousal sponsership like as if my husband is eligible to sponser me or not. I called cic and checked my status, the automated call says that they are now processing my background check. So should i consider thats it. They would never review his eligibility. And how long wud it still take for my PPR to arrive?
 
you can check your application status online by.either linking your application to gckey online account or check https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

most sponsorship applications are processed within 12 months......if all goes well very likely you should expect approval around march/april 2019.

Hi thank you. Well i check it through that link only. It shows applicant sponsership received in sponsership column and in permanent residence status it shows in process.
 
Inland Spousal Application.

Can I apply for a second extension (expires on March 4th, 2020) and an Open Work Permit at the same time, while awaiting a decision on the spousal application for PR?
We did not apply for OWP at the same time as my spousal application. I now need to be able to work while we wait, It is driving me crazy being at home for so long.

Anyone else in the same boat? Thanks
