Hi all,

I got married 2 weeks ago, my husband is Canadian and we reside in QC. We will apply for immigration as soon as we receive our marriage certificate however i have a question.
I have a country specific requirement which is a document that shows my and my family's name/ birth date/ civil status. I already have this document and I was going to include it in the application but as i got this before i got married I'm "single" according to the document so i decided to call the Turkish embassy and register my marriage, then ask for the updated document so that i will be "married" on the document. Now here's the biggest problem, under Turkish law if a woman gets married she has to take her husband's surname, or can carry both maiden and husband's surname. So my surname will change if i register my marriage, in this case my passport, my open work permit, my healthcard, my bank accounts... everything will be useless. The document that shows me single says "This document is valid till August 2020" we will apply for immigration in May 2020. If I send this document, would immigration make it a problem?

Thanks for the answers in advance!
