Hello , my wife is going to do an inland sponsership for me in quebec . We are trying to start the paperwork but are at a sticking point at the start .Apparently we need a comfirmation from cic that my sponsor is admissible to be a sponsor before we apply to quebec and we need to add this to the application . Does this mean we fill in a full application to canada first to receive this comfirmation letter and then we apply to quebec ? Thanks in advance

Yes, you apply first to IRCC. You will receive a letter from them requesting the CSQ (certificat de sélection du Québec). With this letter, you will apply to MIDI.
It's difficult to give a timeframe, as everything will be processed much faster now. In our case, we got this letter 10 months after applying. For sure that will be much less than that for you.

Thanks for the info it's really appreciated and good news on faster processing times :)
Yes, all new applications will be processed in 12 months. When we applied, the processing time was 26 months. Now for 19.5 months in the process, we are waiting for the last step, the landing interview in Montreal. I suggest you to follow the 2016 inland and the 2017 inland threads, you might get an idea on the recent timeline.
