Inland sponsorship and legal status in Canada

It doesn't matter if it's unfair or not, because since they entered here illegally, their sponsorship application will be heavily scrutinized.

The out of status provision applies even if someone entered legally and went out of status. My spouse entered Canada 14 years ago and has been out of status for 12+ years. I suspect the marriage will be considered very valid since we have been together so long. It is not an ideal method for applying but sometimes necessary.

I agree,it might not be fair but unless you know someone's situation you shouldn't judge!!!!-
