Inland sponsorship and leaving the country

Hi all,

A good friend of mine needs some help! He’s gonna apply for spouse sponsorship from within Canada in June or so. He’s currently living in BC on a working holiday visa which gonna end on June but his partner can sponsor him as common law. He wants to leave the country this summer though after applying for a couple of months to go home in Europe.
So a couple of questions:
If he does an inland application is it okay for him to leave and come back after a couple of months before the answer of sponsorship ?
Is he gonna be able to get an open work permit when he’s back in the country?
And last but the hardest one is, they want then on their return to move to Quebec , is this gonna change anything to their application?

No. If you apply inland the requirement is applicant and sponsor remain in Canada.
