Hi Guys,

One quick question:

1. I received my AOR on 19th Feb.
2. Applied for BOWP on 25th (Paper application)
3. Currently on closed work permit, another employer has received LMIA for me. Yet to apply for Work Permit.

Can I do flag-poling and obtain a new work permit (or change my existing condition) to change my employer?

I called CIC: and the guy said, there are chances to get a new work permit but it is always a risk.

Thanks.

Hi all,

Please did anyone use priority post from canadapost?

I sent my passport on the 19th of March, passport was received in Ottawa on the 21st but I am yet to receive any update in mycic.

Could it be 'cos I used Priority Post (which is even much expensive) rather than Xpresspost?

Should I contact CPC-O?

thanks

I think you should wait till 10th April, they usually take 15-20 days to process!! And then the shipping time.

Hi

I just got my PPR! Phew!

I was going to touch the 6 month mark soon.

Here are my details:

AOR: 17th October
NOC: 6221 - Inland FSW
Meds Passed: 18th October
BG in Progress: 27th October
Eligibility review in Progress: 01 April 2016
PPR: 05 April 2016

Good luck to all waiting. 'Patience' is the key word.

Cheers

Why would one receive their gcms notes early, like after 2 weeks? Is this normal? an indication or precedent?

I applied for another set of gcms notes on March 22nd and received them today. So i guess they are speeding up the requests!!

Is anyone here keeping a track of time taken for FSW inlanders to get PPR?

Good to know. I applied on 1 April. Let's see how long it takes.

Received PPR today. FSW inland, AOR 27 Oct. 2015, PPR 5 Apr. 2016.

Congratulations. I guess if am lucky enough to get PPR and my timeline mirrors yours then I have another 3.5 months to wait.

Thanks for your reply. It's comforting to know this in itself isn't a negative and unique thing.

Hey guys, I am so frastrated right now and need your help.

Can you receive PPR if your work permit has expired, and you are still waiting here in Canada for your work permit restoration application to go through?

for me, I got ITA while I was on my implied status, and the days after AOR my work permit extension application got rejected. I applied for the restoration. Some people mentioned, CIC will not proceed my PR application until my restoration application first goes through, is it correct?

Anyone who has similar experiences, please dont hesitate to share, thanks so much!!

Hi, thank you for sharing your experience (though I imagine its extremely frustrating). I have heard this term used often however I am unsure what 'Restoration of Status' involves. The reason I ask is I am going to soon apply for BOWP, as my WP expires on 26 June. I understand I will be on 'Implied Status' from 26 June till either 'they process my BOWP' or 'I receive PPR'.

Can you please tell me how 'Restoration of Status' is different to the BOWP process? Just from the name I thought it meant 'restoration' of your old legal status to 'Work Permit'. Also do you mind sharing the reason for rejection of your Work Permit so I can be aware of what to watch out for when submitting my BOWP application?

Thank you in advance of your reply.
