Happy new year to all fellows; May 2016 be a great year, full of PPR rains for us ;)

Hi Friends,

We have sent the passport and planning to do the landing here at the US border once we get the passport back from Ottawa. However there is a possibility of not receiving our PR card (now the processing time is 85 days) before we leave to India for a vacation.

If we don't receive our PR card, we will have to apply for a travel document in India to enter into Canada. Since we will have only a month in India it is important to get that document within that time frame.
So would like to know how long it will take to receive travel document? Or is there any better way to go and come back!

Yes, we can do that however my current work permit has been expired in December and now we are under implied status. So is there any problem when we do the landing while coming back? Do the immigration officer ask too many question because I left my current job and no more working with the employer.

Did you apply for a BOWP?

If you haven't withdrawn your BOWP application, it's safe to do landing upon returning back from India.
