Yes, and i qualified for both, but stupid CIC asked me to apply for FSW ...I wish i could take time back and apply for CEC instead of FSW

It is not in your hands. If you qualify for both, you 'll get invited for fsw. Even putting funds as zero may not guarantee a CEC invitation.

I know thats the frustrating part, we qualified for both CEC and FSW, its not our mistake CIC chose us for FSW. Furthermore those who qualified for both are more experienced generally as compared to those who qualifies for CEC only. With all these facts our applications are left hanging out where as CEC applicants are getting decisions in couple of months.

I know we cant change anything, just saying what i am feeling right now.

I hear ya buddy, im AOR since July 30 not expecting to hear anything till the new year. Seems like most FSW's are going close to the 6 months some even over

Received my GCMS notes today . Executed on 10/22

No updates since Aug. Case has been parked "unable to verify IELTS due to site currently being under maintenance" !!!!!!

been on implied status for 3 months with no SIN or OHIP coverage.
Applied for a work permit extension a week before I decided to apply for PR.Got ITA the day I made a profile.
No sign of work permit, no sign of PR decision.
Work permit was due two weeks ago (4 months waiting after submission).
wondering if my work permit is delayed because of PR.
Any thoughts?

this is very bad man.... You should be getting DM and pppr in this or upcoming week but if we see your comments from GCMS it is no where near for us....

so how are they checking results for CEC candidates if its under maintenance....
also you gave IELTS from IDP or British and did you gave in Canada or outside?

And did you included your result copy in education document as a backup?

thats strange... then you have to check gcms notes with some other guy in our timeline... if it says samething or not.

Nope, it's not strange. They're using certificate code to check for results, and it's possible that they didn't even look into submitted documents, especially assuming that there's no field for IELTS.

Hi JK546, my AOR: 13/07 July, Applied GCMS notes on 17/10 and received today. It was generated on 10/22. Where in GCMS notes do you see that your application is parked? mine says: Application status: Open, Application Status reason: In Progress. Eligibility and security: Not started, Criminality: In progress, medical: Passed. It has a due date as: 11/13 (not sure thought what exactly does that mean).

And waiting was never been so painful...

Yes, keep going yourself, it's interminable isn't it?
Hesitant about phoning because if they tell me they decided to cancel my work permit because PR is coming or it's been refused due to my HR department messing up the paperwork (my job is Lima exempt because it falls under Canada's 'National Interest' exemption) I would have to stop working. Just miserable. Ghost email for both within hours of each other a couple of weeks ago, and then NOTHING.
