Because the eligibility criteria are different for fsw and it takes longer for them to go through the application. Cec just has to have 1 year Canadian experience. Fsw have to have a bachelors or higher, a year or more of noc o,a or b work experience and specific language scores. All of those are checked more throughly than the Cec candidates because of the fsw points grid.

Don't agree.
In old system it's right, but in EE, anyways CIC needs to check everything to make sure the applicant is qualified with the given CRS score.

if cec checks are less they should stop processing cec for a while and concentrate more on fsw to come to a reasonable timeline for FSW people.

hi mun,

can you please tell me what lines you have for Schedule A in your ECAS....
Is it 2 lines or just 1 line for SCH A.

Thanks.....

I am Fsw inland. Kindly add me.

10-02:Recd ITA
10-20:Application submitted and AOR
10-29:CELPIP Request and submitted
11-01:Medical Passed
11-01:ECAS In Progress
11-01:ECAS In Progress (5 Lines)
11-01:BG needed but not started

Since then nothing else.

I really don't know why I was invited to apply under fsw instead of cec when I ve over 1yr Canadian work experience and 2yrs post graduate studies. This whole fsw inland prog is quiet slow compares to our cec mates.

Hi Ntwkengg,

Both Sch A's had to do with personal history. The first one I provided apparently wasn't detailed enough so of course CIC requested another one that required much more detail.

I perceived that the issue had to do with distance education. CIC wanted to ascertain whether the studies were done in my home country or in the country that offered the exam. (I guess that would have had some implications for police record as well so they were just making sure)

Everything seems to be ok so far, so I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

@dextrousud, did you got PPR? If so, please provide your timeline.
