Inland From U.S. How to bring Goods back after Landing?

Anybody have any experience with Inland spousal application and then bring goods from United States back at a land border crossing?

Ive read some things saying you have only 24 hours to go to a border crossing office to submit forms, not all border crossings do it, only on certain days, etc.

Also, Customs forms what items list, description, model and serial numbers, etc. People say to make a list like Box 1 - clothes, etc. How do you do all of this from in Canada and goods are still in Untied States?

Admittedly, I'm not privy as to how the whole 'Virtual Landing' thing works, for a new PR that was already IN Canada when the landed, virtually.
