Hi, i need any advice about my case.

Dec. 2009 - Application was sent (Inland, Common-law)
Sep. 2010 - Received initial letter

I've been waiting for 6 months since then... but still hear nothing...
When i check my status online, it's saying "Medical results have been received."
Does this mean that they didn't receive other documents? (I didn't miss any documents tho..)
What about my criminal record and background check?

I am getting so frustrated and wondering if it's common to take this much long or there is something wrong with my file...

When you say "initial letter" you mean first stage approval? It would be a fairly normal timeline to receive that in 9-10 months and PR would take around 9 mo. after that.

Yes, the first stage approval.. i already received it last Sep.
But i am kind of confused about my online status..

"We received your application for permanent residence on December 18, 2009.
We started processing your application on March 2, 2010.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made and you will be contacted."

You have already been contacted. That was the letter you received in September for your first stage approval.

As you, we filed inland Dec 09, I received the AIP September 10 with work permit. I got a letter last week saying that our case had gone to our local office, a few days later I got a letter telling me my interview is this Friday. It will happen, if you hear nothing by mid April then call. good luck!!!!

If you come from a Country where back ground checks are a little more intense and take longer to obtain, then CIC will usually give you AIP, so you can start working and get medical care, whilst they continue with the checks.

As others have already posted, just relax and wait a little bit longer, you are able to work and be with your loved one. The final stage will come to you eventually.

Good Luck..... :D
