A US Citizen by birth?

When we call IRCC support line...do they have any more insight into whether or not BGC has started than what we see online? One agent told me they see what we see, but others on this forum said they gave the more info. I dont' want to bother them, but I just wanted to ask.

They told me that bgc was two steps. A background check and a security check so there is a little more information. I got a ghost update once and I was assuming that one had finished and the other had started.

They can totally see more, it really depends who you speak with and their willingness.
Call and ask specifically about whether your BGC is started, in progress or completed.
If the agent tells you he can’t see, then call again and speak to someone else who might tell you.
I have honestly spoken with 5 different people and only 1 was kind enough to look and tell me what was going on.
