I still haven't had any luck linking ours...

I received what I believe to be our AOR on September 19th by email to my personal email (sponsor). My wife also received an email on Sept 19 which did not include the application but with basically the same information as the email sent to me. I've been entering her city of birth, but her passport says "FLORIDA, U.S.A." as her "PLACE OF BIRTH". Should I be using that??

When I enter the application number and her year of birth over the phone (1-888-242-2100) I have no problem getting the general information about the application so I believe the application should be linkable.. Going on three attempts today. Nobody ever said it would be easy I guess...

Also, still no correspondence regarding her OWP that was submitted in her original application. Is this normal? Visitor visa expires on December 5th.
I would try inputting just Florida, or perhaps the city of her birth. On my passport it has my place of birth as 'Roehampton', however I had to input 'London' in order to link the application.

If it doesn't work, try instead to use her passport information instead of place of birth.

Thanks,

I've been using "SARASOTA" which is her actual city of birth, but haven't had any luck.

Has anyone had luck using the passport number instead?

Ladies and gentlemen, we're linked!

I finally got through on the phone and the rep was able to help me get the information linked. I had to use her passport information though, city/state/place of birth did not work. The rep could not tell me for certain if I should be using Florida or Sarasota. She also told me to only be using capital letters for the first letter of her last name and not the entire last name.

I wasnt able to get information on her OWP becuase I am not an authorized representative but she was able to tell me that it does exist and is not just sitting in purgatory somewhere. My wife is going to try to get through so she can get the information on it's status.

I was just wondering when you resent your documents you have to do anything else with other documents or you just replaced only one, the checklist, and you are good?

My App received on August 31 as yours but, I haven't got AOR yet that I have feeling that I might have to deal with returning.

The only thing flagged was our checklist, BUT my husband (principal applicant) did not initially sign his schedule A next to the electronic signature, so he did that. Also, between submitting our first application and having it returned, I was finally accepted into a post-grad program, so we included the relevant documents to show that change. Not sure if it made any difference.

Hi. I am in the same boat as you are. My application was also received on Aug 31 but still no AOR yet. I hope we pull through though.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will still keep my fingers crossed hoping for last minutes possible for AOR email.

I saw someone asking about work permits and PR applications. Thought I ask about my situation as well.

I am currently on open work permit (through graduating from my degree), which expired May 2019. Since there was 8 months left of it, I didn't apply for OWP with my PR application. My PR application has been received and linked to the online account, as of five days ago.

Now, I am guessing my PR application would not be approved by May 2019. If this is the case, how should I proceed? Do I need to apply for renewal of my OWP, 3 months before it expires? Can I apply for renewal with the pretext of my PR application? Or would applying for PR give me permission to keep working until I get a response, even if I don't renew the OWP?

Anyone had similar experience?

Can you attend school on an OWP?
