Hi everyone,

My ecas showed "DM" on Feb 17, 2017. A CIC agent confirmed to me that it was approaved and then transferred to Montreal local office for landing. Agent said that the wait time before landing was 8 weeks. Since Montreal is physically close to the American border, the delay in Montreal office is possibly due to the unexpected inflow of Syrian refugees from the US to Canadian border after the application of "Muslim ban".

So far it's has been 5 weeks and I didn't receive a landing letter nor a DM letter.

Does anyone know any email for Montreal local immigration office?

Strange that you did not get the DM letter. We got the DM letter on March 21st, the same that DM appeared in ECAS. The DM letter was in my wife's mycic (PA).
We are also waiting for the landing letter and were told the same, that the wait time was 8 weeks for Montreal.

My file was transferred to Montreal local office for further assessment before I got my AIP. This is probably why I didn't get my DM letter from CIC.

I am really worried and frustrated about waiting for the landing interview. I feel that they will take more than 8 weeks before they send me the landing letter.

8 weeks may be the maximum time but I am sure you will get before that.
I had been told that I have to wait for 7 weeks to get landing appointment from Etobicoke but it came just within a month

Hi.. i am February 2015 applicant. My application is still in process. I had a baby girl on 4 January 2017. My question is how do i notify CIC about her birth?
i did submitted her birth certificate through web form. Is there anything else i should do?

Congrats on your new addition. No, if you advised them that you had a baby, and included proof, that's all you have to do. If they want more details, they will contact you.

my wife sponsored me when i came in as a visitor. We sent our application in aug 2015

Sponsor application status: Decision Made
1 jan 2017 received an email that my wife have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The application for permanent residence for your relative will be porcessed separately and he will be contacted shortly. No updates since then.
Applicant PR status: Application received

Applicant : medicals have been received.
june 2016 cic had requested for police certificate but at that point i thought it was just an update so i didn't read it properly but in feb 2017 i somehow went through the past emails and realised that i had to sent the certificate. So i sent the application to my home country on 17 feb 2017. They said it would take 3,4 weeks for the certificate and would mail to the cic office directly. i hope by now cic has received my police certificate. Will this cause any effect to my application?

However, March 2017 i wasn't able to login to my ECAS to check my status. i guess they've made some changes but i can login to my wife's ECAS and check both of our status. As of now i'm still waiting and don't know what to expect..is there anyone who've had the same incident ? any help from the experts or the experience is very much appreciated.. thanks

Call the call centre. people from March 2016 are getting landing interviews. So I suspect you are done, and just can't get the details..

i just called the call centre and the voice message says due to high number of calls the agents are not able to answer the call. Those who've applied before dec 2016, they are processing and will complete by dec 2017.

Keep trying and try at different times of the day. Sooner or later, you will get in the waiting line.
