Question:
Are there many applicants continuing to wait more then 5-6 months for the Vancouver office to schedule a landing appointment?

We're quickly approaching 9 months now and the call centre said they can't do anything more then send out referrals every 3 months. This is ridiculous!
Anyone else?

Question 2:
Is there not any sort of regulation or something to prevent a local office from not ever scheduling a landing appointment?

Congrats to Jaimeirl on landing Friday pass. Hope your wife finally can relax and enjoy her new status as PR of Canada. She has one step left to go. Get her PR card in the mail.

Congrats.

Hi Guys,

I received AIP on Oct 8, 2013.
DM letter has been sent on March 28th.
I haven't still received the letter.

I and my wife had an interview on March 14th.
It took only 2 weeks to review my application and more evidence.
Is it a good sign or bad sign?

I'm so nervous these days because I have 2 negative issues.
I was divorced and I paid fine in my country.
The interviewer mentioned rehabilitation even though it's legal in Canada.
It's been more than 8 years. I will be deemed Nov in 2015.

The interviewer copied my police check and court document so that I can apply.
And also the interviewer told us cic would wait for rehabilitation process.
Then 2 weeks later, suddenly DM...

I have no idea what it is happening...

That was a quick DM , so did you send the rehabilitation app right after your interview ? Or you haven't sent it yet ?

Not yet. I had to prepare some documents
because the documents that the interviewer copied are not valid (older than 90 days)
and I needed RCMP fingerprint submission & criminal check in Canada.

When I waited for some documents, I found out DM.

Hi, can you pl update the spreadsheet that cic requested medicals on march 25 and received April 11. The officer emailed me and said that medical is the only outstanding requirement on hubby PR app so do you or anyone know how long after they receive medicals does one gets the landing letter.?

Thanks

Hey guys, its been a long time since i have written on here. i wish i had good news to share but nothing yet. its almost 8 months since AIP and no word from CIC yet. i call almost every day even if i dont expect to hear any thing new. Its always the regular response. im with in the regular processing time and that i should wait.
i called today and was told that my medical was received October 9th 2013 but it has yet to be evaluated. My ecas still doesn't show medical received.
i feel like screaming ENOUGH!!!
its been a year and 6 months into this process and still waiting.
congrats to all those getting to the end of this process.

Hey guys here's my timeline plz help advise what happens next.

Started processing PR app Oct 21st2013
Eligibility passed Oct 21st 2013
Security passed Oct 21st 2013
FBI cert request Oct 23rd 2013
FBI cert received Jan 6th 2014
Criminality background check passed march 25th 2014
Medicals redo requested March 25th 2014
Ecase updated on April 15th. Medical results have been received April 11 2014
But I was told by cic agent received April 11.

Only thing left is to get DM followed by landing letter at your local CIC office.

Hi Screech339,

Today I checked and saw that my ECAS status was changed from Decision Made to In Process :o Is it a technical issue? I will call CIC tomorrow to find out.

Yeah, finally CIC sent a medical request via emails to me this morning. So that's why the Ecas status was changed from Decision Made to In Process. Thank God! At least they opened my file and actually looked at it. For the e-medical enabled panel physicians in Vancouver and Burnaby, I still don't know who is the fastest in submitting medical results online. Could anyone please help me about comparison between those doctors ? Thank you very much!

That sucks dude. Hang in there. It seems like it will never end... and then suddenly it does. Stay strong and stay positive.

Congrats on your landing and becoming PR. According to timesheet, PR card arrived somewhere between 47-67 days, at least according to those who gotten theirs recently.

Screech339

Is this the average time for all those who have landed, even those who don't have an interview? I guess I should also ask, is everyone required to have an interview after DM and before landing?

I ask because I am trying to figure out how much longer I need to wait. I am now at month 19 since we applied and 13 since we got AIP. I sent the last document they asked for (the FBI letter), which they received last Monday the 14th of April. I know because I requested a signature. They lost the first FBI letter so I wasn't going to let that happen again. Anyway, I should get a DM any day now and want to give myself a realistic timeline because after 19 months I've become too impatient to think about this rationally.

One last question. I assume I get a letter confirming approval from CIC before the PR card arrives? Is that correct? If so, is that letter sufficient to prove I am now a PR or do I have to wait for the card?

Thanks,
