I am a 2013 applicant and just got DM anyone know how long it takes to get the landing letter from the Vancouver office?

Congratulations Victorswife! With your help, I contacted my MP and met him to discuss about my case last week. This morning he called and told me that he contacted CIC and they sent a request about landing schedule for me to the Vanouver office on February 26. He said to me that I should keep monitoring the email address that I received DM in case CIC notifies me about the landing interview. He will also follow my case and if nothing happens until March 26, call him again. Hopefully I will get it soon.

P/S: I also sent a email to CIC (question @ cic) to ask about landing schedule last week and got a reply that my medical results expired so I have to do it again. That really freaks me out. After discussing with my MP, I hope I won't have to do it again.

Sorry for your medical exam, but the bad news is, you will have to re do the medical, even the MP has no power about it, I'm sorry to tell you that, but this the rule.

Any one landing in Edmonton? 8) Any idea how long it takes?

Yes I landed in Edmonton 3 weeks ago, How long it takes? It depends. From AIP to DM, around 6 to 8 months, I got my DM 6 months after AIP, then got my landing letter 2 days after DM. From DM date to landing date, it took in my case 30 days exactly.

Could anybody help me out with this? I paid online the Right of permanent residence fee after I got my AIP but before they asked me to do it. So now I'm not sure where to mail the receipt, is it to Vegreville or to CPC-Mississauga??? What should I write on the envelope??

Don't worry about mailing the receipt. You can take it with you to your landing interview if they still have questions if it was paid

Brrrrr .... we applied in Oct 2012. Sponsor got approved last March (as in a year ago). And still nothing. We went to our MP last week, today I got an email from him that it will take a couple more months. So frustrated!

I didn't get a lot of info from my Conservative MP... but met someone who worked at an NDP office and they were much more "on it" and helpful. I would recommend trying to find an NDP MP that can look into your case!! Best of Luck!

It is with joy and disbelief that my husband Victor landed yesterday March 4, 2014!!! The magnitude of freedom is still setting in. The documents we have protected (OWP) are now void. IT is crazy! and just like that... The next chapter begins...

It's nice to see a lot of people getting their DM. It has been frustratingly long for me. We applied in June 2012. File got sent to local office got AIP Oct 2013! and now did not hear anything yet. This June it will be 2 years !?! My application was sent to the Etobicoke office.

i guess there are a few of us 2012 applicants still awaiting for completion of process.

We applied in Nov 2012 (complete application, all fees paid), AIP in Oct 2013, now awaiting DM. Called CIC earlier this week and told to wait until June (8 month average between stage 1 and 2). CIC indicated that meds and police check are still valid although done in Oct 2012. I have a suspicion that our file has a forward date for around June at which time they will resume their review and request new meds.

We've requested GCMS notes. Expect them within next week or so (30 day turn around).

Congrats to Nairaboy, Deedeedar, Spaz, Hockeyfan, Victorswife, and others who have received good news!

As for Crazzzycatlady and others who have been waiting for far too long, I'm so sorry to hear it. I can't do any more than read your vents and sympathize. Effing CIC! It's so weird to me, what happened in 2012. I applied in October, as well (well, that's when all of my poop was finally in a group and CIC had everything; we sent the sponsorship side only in August, confused by the Québec instructions online). I was sooooooooo jealous of those just ahead of me who received AIP in March and April. Then there was the Silent Summer of 2012 when NOTHING seemed to happen. I was so pissy, sitting there for months and months, when people who'd applied just a week or two before me had seen progress on their apps. Finally, in August, I was lucky enough to get AIP and DM at the same time, and now I feel so crappy for my petty jealousy and frustration earlier in 2013, as I've seen several people who were ahead of me back then have to wait for far, far too long.

CIC is NOT good for one's humanity. I hope your waits are all drawing to a close, and soon!
