finally received aip today (12 dec)
work permit also has been approved ;D

just one concern....the address printed on the letter has my old address. i hd changed my address and mailing address in march both online and with call centre. not sure which address the permit will be sent to ???

I can't tell how happy I am!!!
I have recieved an email today saying they processed our first stage! And OWP also has been approved and they will send me by mail soon!
I just don't know when is gonna say DM! Anyway, I'm jumping and tears are dancing in my eyes!!!
I was following this topic and congrats to everyone who has already got good news and to the others i wish the best, and heads up guys!

Until now I haven't received any email/letter from CIC. I have now acknowledgement letters or whatsoever that's why I can't even check the status online.

What should I do? Please help me guys.

You should call CIC, I never got the AOR either and I called them and everything was fine. The agent told me that sometimes the system fails and the AOR doesn't get sent. I'm pretty sure the same happened to you as your application wasn't returned.

Automated telephone service (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can listen to prerecorded information about CIC programs, and check the status of your application.
Call Centre agents - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time, except for statutory holidays. Services are available in French and English.

I'll advise you to call in the morning because the lines are not that busy

Thank You RebeccaF! That was a terrible long and stressed time in my and everyone's life... Just hoping and checking daily... And it's not over, I have to keep checking and "hunting" for the postman. Do you know how long does it take to get the OWP by mail? I guess weeks...

Some people said it took for 6 days. I'm waiting for my OWP since last Monday...hope this Monday I'll receive it.

Yes I read many people received actual letter within 1 week.
I've been waiting for OWP since Oct 8th...
I don't know what is happening to my mail.

I think you should give them a call? Cic received my application
for OWP August 30 it was approved and mailed October 23 , I received it on Wednesday .
It took one week to get to me.

@sunibaby, it's the only thing that's been consistent with
CIC. Most ppl seem to get it with in 6 days!
Mine was aproved and mail on October 23 and I received it on Wednesday .
6 business days!

On 24th October my spouse received email with approved as sponsor. Right away we called CIC, they told our application was completed and sent to local office Etobicoke. I checked status CIC online nothing was updated. Just at 27 of October status was turned to DM for both side (sponsor and applicant).
Yesterday IN FINALLY we've held invitation for landing interview ) ole!!

Wow! I think you should call CIC as well.
I need it asap so I can extend my Alberta Health Care Card (don't want to buy travel insurance anymore $_$).
And get SIN number so I can safe money to go back home once I receive PR card.

Can someone tell me if it is normal.
I applied in Oct 2012, first part (sponsor) was approved in March .. and nothing from since then .... starting to get worried, since Dec people are getting approved.
