Thanks nairaboy for your encouragement!

@Doe123: Thanks for your understanding! So when did you get DM and how long have you waited for landing interview?

I paid total $ 1040 (just check the receipt and the confirmation letter "AIP") when I began applying in February 2012. I think it already included the PR fee, right?

Our feelings are definitely mutual; we applied the month before you. So when did you decide to pay the right of permanent residence fee? I am wondering if that may be a factor in when applicants receive an appointment.

We received DM towards the end of July. $1040 sounds correct.

Congrats to all who received AIP and DM! So great to pop in here and see so much good news! Here's hoping that even more good news is on the way, and SOON!

Contrats to people who get AIP and DM!

I called Service of Ontario today
- I live in Brampton, Ontario.

I can apply for health insurance
with AIP letter, passport and driver's license.
And it will be activated in 3 month.
No mention about work permit and you can apply without driver's license.

Only one concern is I didn't get AIP letter.
So if I print the email out, it could be AIP letter?

I used the email AIP for OHIP. AIP letter mail is rarely given out.

So AIP email is the official letter then.

You got no choice. I had to write to OHIP review board to get local ontario service to accept our email AIP for ohip coverage.

Well, then, I take the lack of reply that nobody has ever emailed Vegreville about their application or had to make any kind of change?

I got my new passport today, finally. It is now my married name instead of my maiden name, which is what is on my application. I would like to get it changed before they finish the paperwork, but can't figure out who to send it to, where to send it or how to send it. I fear that having to snail mail it, my application will be done before it even gets there. (basing that statement on the current run they are having on getting things completed and my application receipt day is Dec 7)

*sighs*

Send it to the same address as the original application. Make sure to write your file number on it. Also, update any forms that have changed as a result and send them as well - and make sure to use the current forms, not the forms that were current at the time of your original application.

This is legit advice, I messed up a form and sent a new form along with all my application information and they matched it to my file.

Yes, I got that part computergeek, as I stated in my previous post, I was trying to see if there was a way to send the updated information via EMAIL or ELECTRONICALLY because the rate they are moving on applications (folks from Dec 3 getting AIP/DM and my application is dated Dec 7) it would more than likely not even get to Vegreville via standard mail before they have completed the application

There is no question as to the validity of the advice, only to the timing of getting that information to the correct office and authority to have it changed BEFORE they complete the process on the application .... I know there is a way of electronically sending such information, however it seems to be most coveted because I can locate it absolutely nowhere LOL

We called our MP office again today, because its 2 months without hearing from the local Yellowknife office about landing appointment.
He said the best thing to do would be go in person to the Immigration Office and ask the Officer when will our landing appointment be.
The Yellowknife office is small and there is only one officer. She was away for 3 months and just got back earlier this month. Maybe if we and and ask her we can get the appointment sooner!

Hmm I have never heard of a way to electronically submit new information unfortunately. I think it's all through snail mail unless I am mistaken.

Best wishes and good luck on everything!
