I got a voice mail from an unknown number.
So I told myself, maybe cic??
It was CIC!!!
The officer wanted my wife(sponsor) to fax a copy of her passport or birth certificate as a proof of Canadian citizenship
for further processing.

I hope I will get AIP and DM at the same time.

Don't miss Unknown number, november applicants.
That's CIC.
processing is almost halfway of November.

And thank for people here.
I would have missed without info.
I will update my situation soon.

I can add you to the sheet. Could you also tell me where you live and what country you are from?

Hello,

I had my landing interview scheduled for today October 2nd. I was told that my medicals expired on July 31, 2013. I got the DM letter on April 2013 and on May 2013 i received a letter from the Calgary office that my landing date is scheduled for Oct 2nd.
The Officer told me that she will try to get an extension otherwise i will have to redo the medicals. They will send me their decision by mail and also reschedule the landing date.
Is this normal?? I find it very weird. Please advice.
Thanks!

Well, technicially, you are suppose to land before your medical report expires. So I can see the possiblility of having to redo medical. However I don't see why they can't ask for an extension of your medical to cover your landing time. Usually medical extensions are granted to those who have a good medical report and submitted with application since process usually takes longer than 1 year to complete.

Congrats to everyone who has heard great news!! so exciting.

I was just wondering why eagerbeaver and waitinginanticipation's dates for AIP aren't on the spreadsheet?

Thanks for the reminder. I overlooked waitinginanticipation's AIP. However I don't believe eagerbeaver has gotten AIP. Eager need to prove they were living together before being granted AIP. Eager had 2 addresses listed in the application so CIC wants proof they actual lived together in same address. By listing 2 different addresses, CIC assumed they lived separately.

Congrats to Northern Vancouver Estonian on her landing today and becoming a PR. It is not often do you see someone landing exactly 1 year (365 days) after application submittal.

Well I am not gonna say yayyy today fearing that I'll be deflated again. I just checked both mine and hubby's Ecas and both have "Decision Made" and the office will contact me regarding this decision.

I don't know but I am a little bit apprehensive about that DM so I'm praying so hard that its a favourably outcome!!!

Congrats to all who received landing and good news regarding their applications!!! :)

That's good news. You should be getting an official DM email from them anytime now. Let us know when you get it so I can update it with official date. You should be landing at scarborough or etobicoke. If you get etobicoke, you would be getting a letter from them within 2 weeks. They have been fast in sending landing letters lately.

Screech339

Thanks Screech... Actually am living in Etobicoke not Toronto. And I'll update you as soon as I get the email.

Thank you Screech!

This makes sense. The officer did mention that she is going to apply for the extension of my medical reports. I asked her if i should do the medicals again right away and she told me to wait for now. They will send me a letter in the mail.

I am assuming the Calgary Office will contact the Case Processing Centre for the extension.

I will let you know when i receive the new landing date.

Halifax is the only CIC office location for Nova Scotia. Depending on how far you are from Halifax, they may send someone out to meet you instead. Like QuebecOkie, they are meeting her at Chicoutimi instead of Montreal, saving her the 5 hr road trip.

You won't be able to pick it up, they will mail it out to you about 70 days after you land.
