I am currently living in Ontario but planning to move to Quebec. I have AIP but not DM.... will the process slow down if I move to Quebec? do I have to submit anything else to Immigration?
Thanks for your responses

If you move to Quebec, you need to tell your new address to CIC. Then, I think that CIC will send you and/or your partner an e-mail to get CSQ. I don't know the process slow down. Getting CSQ took about 1 month when I got mine. (I live in Quebec.)

Got this message from my MP! unfortunately they still can't give me a date for landing.. So sad! Vancouver office is so slow!

We just heard from our contacts regarding your inquiry.

Your file has been approved. At the beginning of July CIC received a new Passport.. They will be issuing confirmation of permanent residence also.

When you receive the above information, you can become a permanent resident. Unfortunately, they could not give me a date of when you will receive the documents.

They are still processing the above but wanted you to know the status.

In the meantime, you have done due diligence and have implied status until you receive all the documents.

Hi, k84.
My congrats for you :)

May you tell me when did you submit your appl and send it? And did you get any letters from CIC?

Today makes exactly 9 months for me; and nothing's forthcoming. Willing to wait another 3 months. By then we can start drinking alcohol and get mad and madder and super madder

hello k84,landing interview is not to be taken seriously, you don't need to feel nervous about it.they will just gonna ask you or confirm our name, surname correct spelling, your address and need some pesonal answers from you.you don't need to worry or too stressed abut it.take it easy, just pay the amount they wanted you to pay and just confirm all the necessary details in papers everything will be fine.GOODLUCK YOU CAN DO IT...

Friend of mine submitted the application April 2011, but she hasn't received PR yet. They kept saying "Final decision is made. Office will contact you" and nothing happens.
:(
I think this is beyond normal case.

Just got off the phone with my local immigration specialist. I was hoping for some insight, but it was all just the same stuff. Told me that it's been stuck on October 8th for a while (thanks, already knew that). Told me the normal processing time was 6 months and that's what the CIC agents told him (again, thanks for stating what is on the website). And then told me it will be at least 9 months from when I submitted my application (which was 8 months ago today that they received it). He tells me to call back in a couple weeks and see if anything has changed. I'll know if something has changed by people on here posting they got AIP. Just getting depressed now...

HIIII!!!
I just got an email from CPCV saying that the processing of my application has been completed and Kitchener office will contact me concerning my permanent resident status. I'm so overwhelmed with happiness right now..i was indeed screaming when i got the email. Have anybody had experience with kitchener office, just wondering how long the wait usually is. It took about 5 months for my stage 2. Hopefully, good news will come your way too!

Cheers,

Hello everybody,

I need you insights please. The landing interview was scheduled way earlier than we expected while my spouse (the sponsor) is unable to attend since she is traveling overseas. We faxed the landing office to request are-schedule about 4 days ago. We didn't receive any response yet and the scheduled interview is on July 30. What should we do ?
