Than you to all that replied, We filled out the temp visa applications for the kids, we are going to give it a try, see if we can at least get them out for the summer.

@krissikriss
All the best. Only a failure beats a try. In any case they'll eventually be here. They must know that kids need their dad in those early years and although they make us believe that here is sooooo family oriented they can't unconditionally facilitate a simple visit for disconnected relatives to see their loved ones

Congrats! Well, I guess ''the proof of Undertaking'' is CSQ. Because, on the topic ''2012 Quebec Inland Applicants', arif_haq told that he brought his CSQ to the landing interview today!

Let me know if they accept it and approve a trv for the kids. Im thinking the same way. :)

Hi All,
Just to give an update on my landing interview in Edmonton. It was really simple and straightforward. First they checked we had paid the $490 landing fee (or what ever it is), checked our photos etc, and then we waited for an interview. Agent was super friendly and nice in the interview. My husband didn't have to do anything but had to be there. I answered a few simple questions and signed the piece of paper. Told to wait 10 weeks for PR to come in the mail and not to leave the country till then and if I did I would need a visa. It was super easy and non-stressful.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

I'll be landing in Montreal Office! :)

@Tomorisu

That's why I am confused, because the letter ask me to bring the "proof of undertaking" and the SCQ! ???

Wow.... it's confusing. ???
Well, then, how about the the undertaking application form ''Formulaire d'engagement''? When I applied for the CSQ, I sent two copies of the application to the MICC. And they sent me back one copy and the CSQ. In the undertaking application form, there are signatures of sponsor and the officer of the MICC. I think you also received the copy with the CSQ.

Has anyone gotten AIP lately? The website says they are still on October 8th applicants, and the last person on the spreadsheet got their AIP on April 11 :(

Haven't checked this thread in a week and there are 50 new pages!!! :o So I apologize that I haven't read the endless pages looking for AIP's.

Unfortunately it seems to have come to a bit of a hault (sp?) I think there may be an influx of fraud cases trying to get one more marriage in before Oct 26.
Or major training for New processes? This is what I tell myself...

As for an influx of fraud cases trying to get more marriage in before oct 25, it would make sense if J.K. anounced the new change ahead of time. But he announce the new change a couple of days after Oct 25. This would prevent an influx of applications from flooding in before Oct 25 deadline change. So this doesn't apply.

New training for new process, maybe. The process is still the same before and after october 25. Only difference is those that applied oct 25, their PR would be 2 year temporary but doesn't apply to all applicants. Only applies to those who are married less than 2 years and have no children.
