Thank you everyone for your advise, with the new legislation in place I just dont know what to think. From what I've been able to find out the interview is to determine whether they will remove him if they do, there may be an appeal we can submit. All of this still doesn't give me much reassurance because its in the hands of an human being, We're praying the interviewer will find favor and allow our sponsorship application to complete it's process. It's only 2 months before our stage 1 comes through.

Jiggy, you don't need or have to defend your self!-We will all get through this in due time!-He who we believe in and trust has our futures on his able hands ;Our time is coming ;D

Mrembo,

While she may not need to defend herself, at least explain where you can make a claim of favourism so we can understand why she was making generalized claim that has little factual backup. Otherwise we may think that it is her opinion, not just repeating what she heard.

@ jiggy, if you are a guy, please accept my apology for thinking you're female.

I know a couple who went threw this same situation. After a failed refugee claim, and appeal even though married to a Canadian (and they had a child) He was deported on a 1 year exclusion - meaning that after 1 year had passed his wife was able to file an outland application for him. There were additional fees ( one of which was $1500 to recoup the money CBSA spent on removal) plus, if this happens - make sure he pays his own way back home or that will be yet another fee to pay before you can even file again. Its been 3 years since this started and he is supposed to be coming back this summer.
I would probably get an immigration lawyer to provide you more info on possible scenarios....... Good Luck, and keep the faith!

I'm praying this lengthy timeline will not apply to us, thanks for the info :)

Hello....

I came across this forum last week and i was going through each and every page. I am almost at page # 300.

I got a DM email today. Below is my timeline:

Application Received: August 31, 2012
AOR: November 28, 2012
AIP: February 17, 2013
DM: April 25, 2013

The letter states that the Calgary Immigration Office will contact me.

This forum is amazing and the people are super amazing. I was very impressed when i saw the spreadsheet of 2012 applications.
Could someone please add me to that spreadsheet of 2012.

I still have quite a few pages to read before i catch up to page # 354. GREAT WORK GUYS!
