Hello!! I received letter for landing interview inVancouver office on May 13!! Very happy all this process is almost over.. I have a question though.. I have an accompaning child living in my home country and i got letter for him too saying he sould go with me to the landing interview but he is outside canada. So i phoned CIC and they said to Ask in the interview date. Is anybody in same situation?

Good luck to everyone!!!

I see you have the same DM date as me. Hopefully I will get an appointment letter from our office within the next week. :)

Hello guys, congrats to all who got AIP and DMs, hopefully this will all go around. I have a questions guys and wld like anybody with an idea to pls share. I currently have work permitt till sometimes in Nov this year, so I never applied for one with my application. So my questions is this my Doc want to me to go on stress leave from work for abt 2-3 months, which am not happy abt and say I shld be able to get EI benefits, if I apply and get it the benefits(EI) will it affect my application in anyways? This is my worry, cus I read sometimes though not sure, tht a sponsored person is not allowed to get any benefit for a certain number of years( like I said I am not sure). But I know some will have an idea. Pls help guys!

EI benefits are not social benefits. So it won't affect your application.

Seems like they didn`t move with processing times at all!! What a disappointment!

I've just checked Processing times, too.......

Nooooooooo!! They are still 'Working on applications received on October 5, 2012'.
Nothing has changed for 4 weeks. :'(

Definitely won't affect it. We've called CIC about this and have informed them that we are on EI. "Okay thanks" was the response. So, they just don't want you on social assistance.

Does anyone know why they didn't change the date for the AIP??? it's been more than 3 weeks and still writes October 5th..It becomes frustrating :(

I think they're working on the backlog of DMs and then will most likely process a number of our AIPs. My guess is they're trying to get through as many applicants prior to the rule changes on 10/25. I think in the long run our processing time will be less than the overall expectation of 14 months.
