Thanks for the reply! His children live with his parents, their mother doesn't really have much to do with them, their passports and medicals are done, so hopefully it wont take too long to get them here, we miss them like crazy and cant wait to have them with us. My hubby has been volunteering for a year and a bit and he will be hired when everything is ready, it gets him out of the house, gaining lots of experience, and securing a job!

Did you submit the kids medicals already? I was advised by many not to bother because they would expire before they were requested. :/ Yikkkesss...... I hope I haven't added more time on to "the wait". Even with my husband we are waiting til they are requested because we have a friend who has had to do theirs 3 times already because they keep expiring ( that would get pretty expensive to keep doing them).

That's great that your husband has found an avenue to occupy his time and gain experience! My husband does some things around the community as far as helping to organize events for kids in our Co-Op .... grounds maintenance etc...but he is really bored! lol With the weather getting nicer now, maybe he will feel a little less frustrated.

It'svery easy to get frustrated but we've got to keep the faith. As much as you hear this govt speaks of the importance of immigration they're not dealing with us humanely because there's no way we should be subject to sit and and wait
for months, even year without the ability to work. It's really unfair. If this immigration adopts so many of the US immigration strategies, why cant we be given permit automatically after we apply for PR here. I said the US does it.

I'd suggest that you send ur husband's medical in. I believe it helps reduce time. I submitted everything and when I inquired last week they were doing background and criminal checks. Ooops! I still done have AIP though

OMG!!! WHATTTA BLESSING!!! i got my OWP just now!!! thought i was able to cancel it when i applied online!!!!!! wohooooo!!!!
