Hello

why would someones file be transferred to local office in Vancouver although the person lives in Ontario? A member got an email of AOR on March 7 and then on March 8 got another email that the application was sent to the Backlog Reduction Office in Vancouver. Yes it is a spousal sponsorship application. Explain thanks

That suggests that it requires additional processing without an interview. Maybe I'll go over and tape the question to their door (BRO-V is about three blocks from me but they aren't open to the public.) If it required an interview, it would be transferred to a local office.

Thanks Computergeek
So if my file stays in Vegreville it is still a possible subject of interview? I dont want any interview because I am served by the Etobicoke office and I heard the office is like 5-6 months backlogged. CIC is at September 15, 2012 So I am looking for the rest of the September AIP's plus the beginning of the October AIP's. But I am not seeing many file transfers though

Your file is always subject to an interview at any point in time, but they don't do non-local interviews. Since the transfer was to Vancouver (the "Backlog Reduction Office") the issue doesn't sound like something that would require an interview. Thus, it could be they transferred it for their own internal reasons - like "wow, this is the best prepared application we've ever seen, let's send it to the team in Vancouver that looks at these things to see how we can get more people to send stuff in like this!" Knowing absolutely nothing about your application it could be pretty much anything, to be honest. It could also be a mistake (that DOES happen). There are a number of cases reported on here where the application gets sent to a local office and is then sent back to CPC-V with absolutely zero interaction with the sponsor or applicant.

Have you ordered GCMS notes? If not, I'd suggest doing so, as that's going to give you the best source of information about your application that is available...

Hi I am in Calgary and have my open work permit but having a hard time finding a job. Does anyone have any tips? Thank you.

Hello, was just looking through the spred sheet, and I seem to be on their twice? I just wanted to let you know we applied in October not May. And we are still waiting to hear about AIP hopefully any time now!!

Hello fellow applicants :-*

Me and my boyfriend applied for family class sponsorship inside Canada (Vegreville), and we just got notified that our application is in progress. Thank you all for posting all these information, I find this forum extremely helpful.

My data:

App received on Feb 25.
Stage 1 - March 8

hey, new here, we mailed in our application May 18th and it was received May 23rd 2012, still no confirmation from them that they received it, just the post office slip.
I hate all this waiting...
Krissikris, I found this on an earlier post of yours. That is why you are on twice.

Oh I didn't realize I had posted on here before, sorry my mistake. We did originaly submit it early on, but they returned it because they lost our payment recipt. So our dates were reset to October.

No problem, all fixed! I am predicting that you will receive your AIP one month from today!

That's what I'm hoping. The sooner the better, I can't wait to get my girls here so we can finally all be together. They really miss their daddy.

@computergeek,
the issue is not with my application. For all I know my application is still in Vegreville. However, I was asking on behalf of a 2013 inland applicant from Ontario whose file was transferred to the backlog reduction office in Vancouver. Im here dying to hear that I get stage one approval. Im tired of this house now! I need to go find some work.

I got my work permit today!!! Finally!!! So my question is my vistor status is up in may....can I be here off a work permit and not have to apply for an extension till my work permit is up?
