Is there any way that that the change from FOSS to GCMS will help in the reduction of stage two waiting times? Also, May I ask why is it that some people's cases are cleared in one shot? I mean some people are just given a decision made the first time they heard from CIC. Is it that they dont have to go through security/background checks?

Hi,Thatgirl123..how can you get OHIP ?

Hi, thatgirl123....
Congratulation.....May I know how can you get Health Card ? Are you in Ontario ?

Hi Sunsun - it wasnt me who got the health card - it was Canham, you would have to ask them. But yes, I am in Ontario :)

@thatgirl123

when i saw that post about you getting health card i was wondering because i thought that you said we both had the same timeline, so i was wondering why I have not heard from them

I think you misunderstood a post or something Sunsun - my husband does not yet have OHIP. ( I do - of course, because I am Canadian) but I was congratulating Canham who just recieved theirs. :)

Lets just hope he doesnt break an ankle cuz we're still waiting on OHIP too!!

Have you applied OHIP??

No, he had OHIP at one time when he was working as a migrant worker, but cannot use it until it gets reinstated after AIP (it expired Dec of this year)

Thank you, Thatgirl123.. :)

Everyone goes through security checks. But if that has been done BEFORE, the response from CSIS can be very fast - I know they had approval back on mine the same day they asked (they redact the dates, but they don't move records around so when you have two records on the same date with a security update nestled in between you know the security update was the same day. No idea why they think redacting that is useful.)

They just get lucky and everything comes back quickly. The problem is when things don't come back immediately the file goes back in the queue and gets "looked at" some time later.

I had done a police check when I was coming to Canada 2011. It was submitted to the Canadian embassy in Jamaica. I haven't left Canada. Do you think that a security check for me would take me long
