I'm filling out the form for the OWP. Is it okay to just leave all the employer information blank? My husband can't start looking for a job until he gets the OWP.

Yep! As it's an open work permit that you are applying for, you won't have any employer info. Leave it blank. I would, however, put the intended occupation and intended location if you can. For instance, I put teacher in Winnipeg. However, this may change but that's not really a concern.

I would also attach a separate piece of paper to the OWP stating that your intention is to file for an OWP and that, as such, there is no employer information. CIC is pretty smart

So as I have an AOR now (THANK yOU CIC GODS!), what can I show to prove my legal status in Canada? Can I show the AOR notification from my spouse's email?

My visitors visa expires in June, but we won't file again as I am under implied status for the PR app.

Hi,

Same happened to me, and Ecas is still not working. I called CIC, they said it is a technical issue. But nothing to worry, as it has happened to many people.

Hi yes, print the AOR that is what my friend used when he needed to get a police clearance in Calgary and renew his passport from the Philippine Embassy in Vancouver. His work visa expired too.

Hello guys!!

Im so exited!! I got yesterday on the mail my CSQ (Im in Quebec) So now I have to go do the medicals and the asked me to re do my police checks ....

I sent with all my papers an OWP application, I'm I gonna get it soon? They haven't tell me anything about it so I have no idea!!

Another thing is: I cant access to check my status anymore!! A few weeks ago we were able to see it was in process, I received the CSQ and the letter asking for medical and police checks and now I cant access! Is this happening to any of you or is just me?

Hello all! I just added myself to the forum. Can somebody add me to the spreadsheet?

Application received on June 6 2012. No AOR email received. AIP received November 28 2012. Medicals sent December 21 2012 and received January 7 2013. Police certificates sent with application on June 6 2012.

There's some sort of issue with e-CAS. Many people are reporting issues of exactly this type - so don't think this means anything is wrong with your application (it isn't.)

I guys pls I am so new to all this, I just submitted my application dec, it's was received dec 17 that's wht show on the website and I also have latter email to my wife who is my sponsor tht the application to sponsor was received, pls my question is wht is "AOR"? I see on here.
