Just one question.. When do you received your work permit from the mail? how many days u've waited for it in the mail? It's been 5 days since cic emailed me about my owp but still I still haven't receive any mails yet..

I received the OWP 4-5 days after AIP.
So next I'm going to get that temporary SIN and to apply for OHIP.

Great News! It is a relief once you know for sure that your application is actually at CIC and that someone has opened it. The date to get AOR has sure come down. Just 2 months ago it was double the time it is now. I will update the spreadsheet.

Hello Everyone !

I need your suggestion regarding my case.

My husband is Canadian citizen and he did inland sponsorship for me.We have two Canadian born children. Previously, I have been given removal order. AOR date is 31 Oct 2012.

If some one can answer my question, will CIC process my application and allow me AIP status as I was previously given exclusion order.

When they say "background checks", what does that include?

Is it something other than medical and FBI certificate?

Yes. They check for potential war crimes, organized crime involvement, terrorism, etc. These are things that don't show up on a routine police check.

These checks are done by CSIS.

If CIC approve you for AIP does it mean that you already prove the relationship being genuine?

I am in the midst of putting together my forms and supporting documents. How did everyone arrange it? I am struggling to arrange them as it is due to the sheer amount of forms (I am putting through the PR forms, OWP form and visa extension form) and photocopies of documents, photos and all that. Can I just put binder clips around them?

The arrangement for mail out is even more frusturating than getting the forms filled.

In addition, is it alright to not submit the medical checkup and security checks at this point? I am still trying to get an appointment with the doctor and the country i am from do not allow for security checks until Immigrations provides a letter. Can medical checkups be submitted separately?
