Hi there Rossal, yes they got AIP already... Danteryu sent their application on May 16 yet they got AIP on Oct. 19 that is why they are lucky enough.. Cic received mine on June 7,that is why i'm so excited.. We are next for sure,Juners!

I was requested to send additional info which i sent yesterday, my application was received on May. How much longer do you think i will have to wait to get AIP ? Is there anybody in the same boat?

processing time for first stage is 6 months! CIC is working on applicant from May according to them. but every case is different assuming everything is in order and the case is simple and straightforward it shouldn't take much longer and you should hear something with in couple of months earlier/later, but again it all depends every case is different.

My AIP was received on Aug 2012. After that they requested police cert. + medical. Today my status shows: (Medical results have been received). They didn't mention any thing about the police cert.

How long it usually takes from there?

For those that did medical after receiving AIP.
How long did it took you to see Medical Received or something on ECAS (if anyone can share)?

When you mail in your receipt proof, did you send originals and keep a photocopy as backup or just mailed a photocopy of it?

I suppose you add a letter/note to cross reference the medical with your UCI#? Anything else I should add to help them cross reference the stuff better or easier?

My wife finally got her medical done last week after she received AIP on oct 9th. So I am planning to mail in her proofs soon.

Im doing my medical following AIP, however my AIP letter didn't advise me how to submit my medical results?

I assumed the Doc submitted the results with X-Rays etc?

Can anyone advise?

after you get aip and they send you the letter saying you can now apply for an open work permit do you have to apply for one or just wait until they finish the application all together?

Hi Walter and KennyStewart

I did my medical after AIP - Walter there is still no update on my Ecas - from what I have been reading it can take anything for 1 to 3 months. But some people have reported seeing it appear within a month. I have been calling CIC weekly - try calling your Docs office and ask them for a tracking number once they send the results to Ottawa.

Kenny - the Doc will send your results to Ottawa. All you will get is a stamped form stating that you did your medical - you should send this to Vegreville. Alos make a photocopy of any receipts and send these along also.

I'm tired of this waiting game I sent my application in Feb and reeived AIP letter on 21st September. People on here and also CIC said that i should receive approval for second stage in 4 to 6 weeks. It has already 7 weeks and I still heard no news from them. I've been checking my letter box every day since i have received my first letter but no news. I'm tired of this! I heard that they are working on May applications. Really? Have they dealt with applications they received before May? Obvioulsy, they did not! I'm actually annoyed! As you can tell.

As an update my Ecas changed today. When I click into "in Process" it says medical results have been received. Hopefully not too much longer to go.

Walter - that is Sept 21st when I done my medical and November 11th when it shos on Ecas.
