I applied in March 2012 and am still waiting for DM even though I was AIP in October 2012, though maybe the issue with my non-accompanying children makes mine a reasonable exception for why 2013 inland applicants are landing before me. It did seem that when Vegreville sent that section off to Seattle, which then closed and moved to L.A., and during that period I even got a letter saying not to contact Seattle or L.A. until I heard otherwise.... then finally I got the letter June 2013 that I needed to get medicals for my children, which I did in July 2013, and then the slow back and forth regarding my eldest's non-compliance, which when that was resolved I needed a second medical, which I got May 2014.

Still, March is quite early in 2012, and I am still, forever, waiting....

Meds were re-done on 19th of August, and doctor sent to CIC on 26 August.

I revised your status to use the date CIC received your Medical results as DM date. In theory, CIC cannot issue DM until medical results are completed and valid. So using this assumption, I decided to use this date as DM date.

How can that be that you got DM a year ago and you're still waiting to land? What do they have to do after DM besides schedule an appointment?

After DM in Oct 2, 2013 I received a letter in Feb, 2014 which says that I have to do /me and my son...he lives back home/ another medicals. We did the med to the end of the Feb. After a lot of calls to Call Centre everything was ok with the medicals and my file. Suddenly in July an officer told me that my sons med are missing. Two days later I called again and another officer told me that they received my son`s med in Feb 28 and it was his colleagues mistake. After July I talked so many times with different officers and all of them told me that everything is ok. But yesterday I called again and....can you guess....the medicals missing again The lady ask me for the number but I was so nervous....and I couldn't find it/actually...the doc was in front of me but.../ I send a letter to email CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca/Ask about an application that has taken longer than the stated processing time/ and https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx Where else I can call and send a letter?

Glad that you got your PR card terrible that they got the wrong gender on it. There was a mistake made with another PR on the news with PR card only that time wrong picture and wrong gender.

I can only suggest that you call CIC and explain the mistake on the card and have them explain what to do. Will they redo the PR card in an expedite manner? I don't know. Can't say as I haven't had any experience or saw cases on this forum that give us details on how to remedy the problem.

Unfortunately, CIC will not likely to ask for another extension on your medical record. Once the medical results has been given an extension and the applicant has not landed by deadline of medical extension, it is likely that they will ask for a new medical test.

I'm still waiting. Just over a year for stage 2 now. Had my MP and even Chris Alexander involved.

Waiting for one internal background check (either RCMP, CSIS or CBSA).Other two and UK check back and okay. Won't give me a time scale. Already re-requested the missing one twice. This information came from Chris Alexander.

Medicals were 2 years on September 14th and they wont say if can be extended or if I redo yet.

OWP ran out October 2nd along with SIN expiring. Alberta health gave 3 month extention until new permit comes. Due early November as currently 2 month processing. Hopefully comes before November 15th or my drivers license expires too.

Working for an amazing company who have had their legal counsel trying to help me too. They can't do more than already has been done, but nonetheless it's reassuring.

I am frustrated and quite fed up with the wait now but can do no more than I have.

When I get a DM I will be straight on here to let those few of us still waiting know they are moving on outstanding 2012 applications. Good luck to us all.

My husband is also a 2012 applicant (July) and we are still waiting. He has a non-accompanying daughter in Dominican Republic and this caused a delay in the application since the file was transferred to Santo Domingo, she had to for medicals, provide documents, etc. Then, the backgrounds checks (now finished) took forever too. Finally, seems that everything if almost over, al least this is what they tell me when I call the call center. Last week we got another request for medicals since the old was expired (was from December 2012). He went for medicals yesterday. I hope to have DM before end of the year!!!
