hi wolanila, long time no see here! hope everything is going well on ur side, 3.5 months is quite a long time, last time staff at vancouver office told me it should come around 2-3 months.. but this wait is much easier than waiting for the DM etc..

Hello Everyone,

I am new here and I have a few questions and will greatly appreciate any help. Our inland spousal sponsorship was sent June 6 2012. January 2013 we received letter that it has been transferred to local office in Etobicoke. Yesterday, 18th September got another letter and we have been invited for an interview in two weeks. We are both kind of nervous but at the same time confident. Along with the letter there is a " Request for Information " page which has list of documents needed, and at the end ( point # 17 ) it says
" Any other information you wish to provide to assist in establishing that you and your spouse reside at the same address and are in a genuine spousal or common-law relationship. The supporting documentation and information which you provided with your original application are insufficient "

Then it says : The responsibility rests on the applicant to satisfy the officer ........

I was wondering if this a standard letter they send to everyone or is it case specific?, as I have already sent them what they are asking for? And also the previous 16 points in the letter that indicate documents required were already sent to them. I guess they just want to see us bring all those documents again and more if possible.

I would also like to know whats the procedure after the interview? How long before I get an AIP or rejection ? And whats the time frame to get landed immigration after the interview. Anyone else who have been called for an interview and how did it go ?

And any suggestions , advise will greatly help. Thanks in advance

Thanks SunSun.... But Jolly and I are experiencing the same problem with our AIP letter, our sponsors received the eligibility letter but none was sent to us the applicants.

I can't wait for u to get yours so you can tell us what CIC sent to u.

@ Singhh.... Did u receive AIP only in the mail or both snail mail and email?

i got everything at the same time, the DM for my husband and the AIP & OWP for me, i did apply for my OWP at the same time as the sponsorship though (which i highly recommend doing). I then recieved my actual OWP in the mail 5 days later. I applied October 26th 2012, got everything on the same day september 11th 2013. Have you checked your spam folders on your email?

Hello everyone, Screech,

Just wanted to let you know that my wife just received her PR card in the mail yesterday. It only took about 3.5 months. SO Pretty!!! Oh and screech I noticed a mistake on the spreadsheet in our OWP dates. We applied for OWP with application and received it in Oct. 12

After Months of waiting (which feels like years!!) The first strike in over 30 years for immigration workers and a new immigration minister and today my husband got an email from CIC stating "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor" !!!!!

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! :-* ;D

I am hoping this means we have received our AIP!! Should I be getting an email from CIC as well ??

Whats the next steps and timeframe from here?

I would like to say thank you to everyone posting on this board, i've been coming here everyday to read the posts here. We are all in the same boat and i wish you all the best of luck. God bless!

Yesterday, with my wife being from a non-visa exampt country, she applied for US visa at the toronto US consulate. Her appointment was 11:30am. She went in at 11:15. She didn't come out until 1:20pm. She spent almost the entire time waiting in 5 different line ups, before getting called to counter. Was asked 3 questions. After she answered them, she was told "visa approved" and stamped the application. That was like 1, 2 mins top for interview. The rest of the entire time was waiting in line to be called up.
