OMG I am so happy for all of you that got your DM, AIP and interviews, this road is still ahead of me, but I received a letter today that Citizenship has reviewed my OWP application because I sent it after the PR application but before they decision, and they said that they cannot decision on it until they decision on my PR application (DOH....I knew that already)...but still shows that there is some movement on the file...after all I have been waiting for 10 months now . But on the other hand,seeing some movement since May(I don't think there was any in June,July or till late August), makes me very excited! ;D Thank you,everyone,that you keep on posting and letting us all know so we are happy together and some of us frustrated together as well . I hope all of October and us the ones in November soon start getting their AIPs soon....and good luck to the rest!

Bit of news for us... My daughters got passport request yesterday!! So we will send them in on Tuesday with another letter from their mother explaining she is ok with them living with us in Canada. Hopefully Kingston won't take too long getting the visas processed, then we can go pick them up!!!!

Just a question, can i mom bring her personal jewelries here in canada when she visits? Will she have problem at the cbsa? Will she pay taxes for it?

why not? i had my jewelry and nobody asked me to show anything. (both on me and in my carry on)
My mom/friend had no problems with that too

I doubt it will be a problem unless its like a whole bag full of jewelry maybe that would raise a little suspicion if she's only going to visit.

I don't have AIP.

Medical was done on Oct 5th in 2012.
Police check was done in 2012.
They are all I know.

OMG! Don't hate me - I just got the DM letter! 30 August 2013 - Decision made! I'm sweating, shaking, and crying! Looks like I may be able to take that vacation to Spain that my father-in-law already booked for all of us in March.

Dear Terence at CIC - I would TOTALLY KISS YOU ON THE MOUTH if I was in Vegreville right now!

Screech, no, I didn't send OWP. Most anglophone citizens can't even find work up here, so it wasn't worth it for us.

So what's next? The letter says the Montréal Centre will be contacting me about my PR status. That's for a landing appointment, right?
