We got our AIP April 26th but we applied October 15th so they are not necessarily staying within the Oct 8th date!

Well let's hope it speeds up soon!!!!! I was expecting to get AIP and OWP by mid may, not i'm thinking end of June Damn expectations, always getting foiled haha. Time to give up expectations and just let it all happen as is will.

Good news. The AIP (2nd stage) seems to be very slow lately. I believe it is a month behind. It was stuck on application submitted oct 4 for 4 weeks before moving on to oct 8 for 3 weeks now. Hope the AIP will get moving again shortly or at least move beyond oct 8th date this week.

The husband's timeline was already on the timesheet. I asked earlier about adding to list but realized that he was already on it due to being on Rusty's timesheet. So I deleted my post.

HELP! I am a Canadian sponsor of my common law spouse. Our application was received by CIC on November 23, 2012. When I check the status of our application it still says "Application received" and does not say "In process". I was hoping we would hear something soon as it has been 6 months? From what I am reading from your post. You have received your AOR at some point probably in feb timeframe. For your application to be in process, you would require a AIP which usually occur after 6 months. However lately they are rather slow in processing application. Last I saw on CAS site, they are working on application received Oct 8. Been very slow, a month behind schedule. So it apprears to be a 7 month wait before getting AIP.

Meanwhile, when your CL work permit expires, he/she should still be able to renew work permit. If unable to renew, he/she is under implied status until futher determination is made at second stage (AIP).

Hi all, I just have a question regarding my landing interview which I have next week.
Does my sponsor have to bring two photos with him as well or just the applicant?
Also, will I be eligible to apply for SIN before I get my PR card?
What do they usually ask at the interview?

Your sponsor doesn't bring photos. Just show up with you with IDs. You bring ID to confirm that you live in same address as sponsor if possible.

You can apply for SIN after you landed. Some places will say that you must have PR card to apply. That is not true. Check out gov website for ID requirements for PRs. Print it up to prove them wrong if they say otherwise.

They usually ask basis questions mentioned in application usually "have you been convicted? Have you been refused entry blah blah..

After that they stamp your passport and you then become offically landed. Even though you landed. You still cannot leave Canada as you would require PR card to board plane/bus. If you drive to US privately, you can reenter canada without PR card. They accept COPR.

If I currently apply In-land what Is the current processing times?

I have a choice for in-land or outland and my IEC Visa expires Jan 2014...

My biggest note is that I HAVE to keep working, I know the Outland is taking around 7 months for FULL PR?

However If I apply In-land my Lawyer said he can also submit a Work Permit which gets approved a the first stage so I can still work, would that help me out before Jan 2014?

One more question, I already have temporary SIN so can I keep using it until I get my PR card so I can apply normally for the permanent SIN
