OK everybody, the spreadsheet is updated with all of the countries of origin and cities where you now reside. I apologize if I have made any mistakes, and I really apologize if I have spelled anyone's home country wrong.

I just received my Open work permit today. I am so happy , finally can work now. I had done a paper application on January 17 2013, and received on March 19 2013 so almost two months ..

Just few question, The work permit i received is valid for one year. Is that what everybody got?

And in my work permit , at the end its written in remarks: that I have received initial approval for my PR application. Is that also everybody gets?

Mine was for 2 years, my passport was valid till 2015. At the remarks it says received initial approval as well. I know someone who got 1 year and 2 others who got 2 years as well. It really won't matter as you can extend it or the 2nd stage is usually done in less than a year. Congrats!

Yeh the normal processing written on website is 67 days. So yeah a week faster.

I applied on June 4 2012. AOR received 10th October 2012, AIP on 23rd November 2012, Owp after aip and received today . Now waiting for DM ..

Hi Canham,congrats for ur open work permit's arrival..finally! now,i may have to ask u a favor pls. i couldnt find the document checklist for the application for working permit,would u mind sharing the link pls.? i have to re-apply and send this time a paper application but been looking around and couldnt see the right one for the inside canada work permit application. thanks a lot.

I got my owp last week...they gave me 5 years lol I dunno why they gave me so long I hope it doesn't mean a bad thing like my app gonna take forever! Lol I hope not!....and ya my remarks say the same
