Hello guys,

Did anyone apply open work permit online and it got lost by CIC? not showing in their system.....
But you have the electronic payment slip with you.

Anyone?

We had a similar case like that happening. We applied for my extension of stay and it kept loading but we got the confirmation..

That's very good news there, almost started running in circles! Thank you very much! May I join - even if I'm a 2013 applicant?

Your best bet is to join the 2013 Inland thread. You will find it far more informative for you. My buddy Wolanila has a spreadsheet going over there. Keeping a good eye on this one will help you to see what is happening ahead of you. Anyway welcome to the "Great Canadian Wait"

I will try search for it. Haha thanks I'm constantly bugged about believing we didn't put enough evidence in. We only put a total of 52 pictures whereas we didn't really have any from last year except from Christmas.. No quality data as my laptop screwed me over and had to get rid of all ugh :-X

But it's sent off and I guess we can't really send any additional evidence we may find later hey?

I sent additional information (photos, etc.) a few months after submitting the original application. Someone here suggested that you send as much proof as you wish before AIP.

Hello,

CIC says in the email they sent me that the Open Work Permit should not be submitted online. It must be mailed in to be attached to the file with "Open work permit - spouse and common-law in Canada class", So you have to mail in the recepit and complete another form "Application to change condition or extent stay"

Yes the open work permit is to be attached with he initial PR inland application. You can fill out the extension of your stay online because that goes to a different place than where you send the PR (+ OWP) to! Try and see if you can just send the OWP to vegreville and explain them your situation.

Ok good, because I literally lost all proof I originally wanted to attach. That's good to hear, need to find a USB stick because my ma' in law has tons of us laying around somewhere.. :D

@ Line.a all inland documents are sent to Vegreville. Only the postal codes are different. Also I'd like to know from everyone if they believe my story is strong and the evidence is enough

We met on my birthday (at a BBQ)- July 29, 2011 and from there we started. We dated. And on April 21, 2012 we got married. Is this a short dating period. Also, her mom and her step dad they opted not to be a part of the wedding because they believed she should have gotten married to a more financially esstablished person. And besides we didnt use a consultant. We just sat down wrote our situation. We provided them with letters from our friends, photos from wedding and reception, plus bridal tour. there were about 10 persons at the wedding. We sent in photos of honeymoon in Niagara Falls. We sent in rent lease, joint bank account, congrats cards addressed to both of us, insurance, letter from landlord, letters addressed to us postmarked. We are not afraid of an interview but dont need one. Please speak to me all you lovely, waiting people

Hi All,

Just got an email from immigration with a latter attached saying my application has been completed. Halifax will contact me regarding my permanent residence status. I am in shock but I think I am through!

Ecas has not been updated as yet but I don't really care!

We are just after moving this weekend past - it is great to have gotten this.

Our application has just taken over a year - we applied on Jan 16th last, got AIP in Sept and now a decision has been made.

Regards,

CanED.
