mohammed.....the letter that i recieved was from vegreville directly, that my interview will be on sept 3,i sent my aplication july 26,2010.....

It looks strange for me, why you have got the landing letter from Vegreville. I have never read about similar cases before.
Like Mohammed, I got my landing letter from local office (Etobicoke), not from Vegreville.

Usually CIC sent several letters informing you about Approval in Principle (first stage approval) and finalizing the application (second stage approval).
The second letter must include you local office, where you finalized documents have been transferred for the landing interview.

After that, the local office defines the date and the time of your landing appointment and informs you about this by call and by letter.
In my case yesterday I received landing letter from Etobicoke.

I don't think I can go for FOSS note now, I will wait untill september 1st week. Because even FOSS note can not Excelerate your process. There might be possibility that after Foss note it will go more delay due to interruption. As my 5 months will over after I got AIP on 6th April 2011 I will wait untill 6th September 2011 for any miracle.

Oh, you think it might delay even more the process when asking for the FOSS? I am just too curious to know why they have been taking so long with our stuff...

Hi guys. Just have one question: I send my medical in along with my package why there is no "medical results have been received" on my ECAS after AIP? Its been almost 2 months already. It really makes me upset. because i saw all the people have that words on ECAS while AIP?

Is anybody in the same situation?

I also sent mine with the appl. and they took months after the AiP to add my Medical Receives on E-cas as well, that is common unfortunately.

Yes, we sent medicals in May 2011, today we called CIC and they acknowledge receipt but in does not show anything in ECAS, which is quit normal.

Today we received the letter from local CIC (Etobicoke) inviting us to the landing interview!
So, September 8th 2011 is a day when I become a Permanent Resident!
It is the best gift from CIC towards our first wedding Anniversary!!!

Everyone is so happy for what you are facing right now.. Let us know what happened on your landing interview..
Im still waiting for either Call or Letter from my local CIC too (Hamilton). I hope i will get it this week. I think You are just 1 day ahead in receiving the approval letter.

Hey every one!

Sorry for my absence. We moved, internet provider didn't process our application right, so we didn't have internet for a few weeks. I'm 30 pages behind, so sorry for skipping them. Some one a quick summary?

Myself: still waiting for my landing interview. Everything was sent to Québec (luckily the old roommate forwarded the CIC letters and work permit, so at least my SIN is renewed now) and even 3 weeks later, my address change still hasn't been processed yet! I don't hope I'm going to miss my landing interview, because the local office doesn't know I moved...

Yah not sure why it is different, but I did call Vegerville and they said I need to just wait till Edmonton Immigration Centre sends me a letter stating the date and time of my landing interview and to make sure I take $490 for my fee for PR.
