went to my landing interview at edmonton Aug 9, after i pay the fee and an I.O. exam the picture. only take about 5 min for that process.

Oh, it is not a 2nd Stage approval then

They just updated your Police Checks... they updated the same info on my case in June.

ZIXUEZ.....did the local cic edmonton sent you a letter for your interview last aug 9?GOT decision made last aug 5th, but didnt read the letter yet bec we'.re on vacation.DONT konw when is my inteview date, and if you dont mind how much the landing fee, any documents to bring and can u share some tips about the interview?WE're on vacation but stress..thanks

Hi all!

Just short update - I've been wondering either my sponsor has to go with me at the landing appointment at local CIC so I called them today to be on the safe side. They told me sponsor does not have to be there as it's not a requirement. Just wanted to let you all know, and I'm in Halifax.

Oh that's great news Mark_Anna! My ecas doesn't show medical results received but they never requested them so they must have them. Does anyone know if that's normal for it not to show on ecas?

Yes CEC & Theresa_Lynn,

Unfortunatly it is not second stage approval yet, I don't know what creativity they are doing with my file. Simply because may be I am from a third world or before I was an Internationa student for very long time that's why?! who knows........We sent our medical with the time of application so we got it on ecas.

Did you get an OWP with your AIP letters or apply and receive one later on? If not, then no, you will have to wait to receive your PR card after you land to get you "permanent" SIN. If you don't have an OWP and go to get a temporary SIN before landing then you won't be eligible for a SIN until after receiving your PR card which takes about 2 months to receive. This is what happened in my situation. You should read more of my previous post for more.

Hi Teresalynn. I could not see it on my ecas either. I called and they said they have not received my
Medical yet which is so weird. Have you called? I am so upset about it!

They started processing the application on Feb 21st 2011

yeah CIC is now processing application received on October 12,2010.....hopefully its will be some few months for you ....keep your fingers cross..goodluck

My local office is Hamilton. What stage are you in abc? We are almost at the end. They requested police certs, i am sure they would of asked us for medicals if they needed them.
