Hey love_young,

Happy for U!!! ;)

Thank you! Can't wait to celebrate when you are done with everything. Not much longer now. :D

Hi True Russian,

I did travel being on WP, but is was not OWP, just regular WP and I did not have any issues re-entering. Latvia however is visa exempt country so may be that's the reason why I didn't have any issues, but still... What's the expiry date on your wife's OWP?

Guys (katie_van, canadiancitizen, gigi1612), thank you for the congratulations! I am so happy at this moment!!!
Could you imagine, we called CIC twice just to make sure we had been really approved :))

Looking forward to receive confirmation letters and ecas updates by the end of the week!

@murphy and sa_ja: congratulations to you too! wonderful news, finally!!!

Hey Latvian ! My wife's OWP expires on July 29, 2013:) I don't know why they gave her a OWP for 2 years...do you think there is a specific reason for that? Or they planning on not giving a final desicion for 2 years????

I did apply for Open Work Permit on July 22, 2011. What will happen to that application now that I have 2nd stage approval? Do I need to withdraw it?

Hey guys so glad to see some people got 2nd stage done. Congratulations! And I have two questions here
1. Is that ok if I change my home address and phone number after Aip? Will it affect the speed of my application processing?
2. If they request something. Will it show up on ecas like 'waiting for ur stuff or something'?

Really appreciate if someone could tell me. Thx

True Russian ;), I do not think they will process your application longer just because they gave her OWP for 2 years, unless they're going to request more info or something has expired. It would be better if she would have a job at the time you're going to travel and employer's letter with her stating she has full time job and that she'll resume working upon return from paid vacation so officer at the border would see that she's not coming back just to wait for PR approval, which I believe also would be fine.

Hi lhet_sept2010, you got the second stage approval!!!
See, how fast they received you medical results!!!! :) Wishing you a lot of happy! Congratulations again!!!

Don't worry a lot about OWP. CIC will not process it and refund you money :)

Hi All,
Has anyone here ever taken finger prints electronically at commissionaires? :(

I am happy my phone machine message changed (Not e-cas yet)
Until now they are telling to wait for anticipated time of 10th January 2010 but now I think after receiving my police clearance on 30th May 2011 they took final PR decision on 8th August 2011.
I think my e-cas will change after 2 days.........my best wishes to
