Roughly how long does it take to get the AIP letter after the update is E-Cas?

Entirely depends on mailing times which can be looked up on Canada Post. 4 days national, 3 days within province, 2 days same city,,,not sure!! Ecas update is 2 days after letter has been sent, so start ur day counting from 2 days before ecas updated

OMG GUYS!!!! I have awesome news!!!!!!!

I got the second stage approval on August 3rd 2011!!!!!!
Both stage at the same time!!!! My file has been transferred to Etobicoke for the landing interview!

I am so happy, i am feeling so big relief and can't believe at this!!!
I want to dance and to celebrate this event!!!!!!!!!

It happened!!!!!!!!

As you know, we called CIC on Thursday and agent said that we got the first stage approval and the letter has been sent to us.
He did not see any remarks about the second stage and asked us to wait.
But my ecas have not been updated yet and we called today again to make sure that we got the first stage and it was not a mistake

And agent said that CIC Had Approved Our Sponsorship!!!!!

It took 4 business days for me. I hope you will get the letter soon!

Hey guys!

After 10 months of waiting I got first stage approval today!!!!!!

We called CIC today and they informed us that the letters have been mailed today!!!
Looking forward to get them next week!

But i still have no updates on ecas. Just trying to believe that Call agent whom we spoken with was right


My husband brought me a cake and flowers and we had a small celebration at the evening!
I am so happy to leap forward in the right direction!

Hi LY,
I understand how you want to get a job so bad after being unemployed for a while due to your status in Canada, however, I'd suggest you to think twice about this job opportunity. It sounds like it is one of those pyramid schemes companies (World Financial Group, Primerica, Investor Group, etc..) Your friend and the boss recruit people like us who are new immigrants that are eager to find a job, they gave you awesome presentations and made you think you can be your own boss, but in reality you are still working for "them" and everything is not as good as it sounds. Do some research online before you make the decision, of course your friends are going to deny any negative comments/concerns you see online, or even more aggressive criticize people who were trapped into "their" world" for a few months then quit because those people saw the real side of the company. I know this because sooooooo many people I know have been there (a friend tried to recruit me too!!) and got out within 1 year.

Im Canadian and I would say the same... be careful....

finally got it today my second stage approval....cic veg sent letter last aug 5th,but my problem is ...as of now we are out of town and welll be back in edmonton, alberta by the end of the month,GUYS, do you have any idea how long the local cic will call us for interview?thanks to all of you here...in this forum

We received CSQ in the mail today....approved on August 3rd...

Now waiting for AIP....can't wait !

Just wanted to update and say that I was finally able to get a ride to Service Canada today.
I finally got my SIN number and done with everything. Woohoo!
